The Japanese Language Speech Contest Victoria Inc is comprised of volunteer academics, educators and supporters that organize and conduct the annual speech contest in Victoria in order to promote the teaching and learning of the Japanese language.

In 2022, our organization was recipient of the Japanese Foreign Ministry Commendation Award. ‘The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas.
